Since February 1, 2017, entities that receive funds or assets from public sources above the statutory limit, as well as other persons specified by law, are required to register in the newly established register of public sector partners. This obligation is introduced by Act No. 315/2016 Coll. on the register of public sector partners and on amendments to certain laws (hereinafter referred to as the Act on the Register of Public Sector Partners). The Act refers to these entities as public sector partners. Without registration in the register, a public sector partner will not have access to public funds and will not be able to successfully apply for them. However, registration in the register of public sector partners and the fulfillment of other related legal obligations must be ensured by an authorized person. An authorized person may only be a lawyer, notary, bank, branch of a foreign bank, auditor, or tax advisor with its registered office or place of business in the Slovak Republic. The law firm JUDr. Róbert Hronček, s.r.o., based in Žilina, offers Slovak and foreign entities high-quality, expert and professional services in the area of registration in the register of public sector partners and other activities of an authorized person.
