Due to legislative changes, this article is no longer relevant.
When verifying the identity of the final beneficiary, the RPVS electronic services system currently offers only three options or reasons for identifying the final beneficiary (pursuant to Section 11(2)(c), (d) and (e)), namely:
- as of December 31 of the calendar year,
- in connection with the conclusion or amendment of a contract,
- in connection with the performance of a contract.
OPINION OF THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE OF THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC:
The ZRPVS recognizes exhaustively defined verification events and does not allow for the possibility of verifying identification “voluntarily,” i.e., if these verification events have not occurred. Therefore, the above request to change the form and add the reason for verifying the identification of the final beneficiary cannot be accepted.
