E-commerce in the area of prescription drug dispensing is a topic that deserves careful consideration by Slovak lawmakers.

Absence of legal regulation of internet dispensing of prescription drugs in the context of modern trends

While countries such as GermanyEstonia, and the Czech Republic are already actively developing online prescription drug dispensing, Slovakia still lacks clear legislation. This not only limits the availability of treatment for patients, but also hinders the development of digitization in healthcare.

At a time when technology is advancing and the emphasis on patient convenience and safety is growing, the issue of regulating online medicine sales is becoming increasingly relevant.

What are the risks and benefits of this model? What can we gain from well-designed legislation, and where are the biggest obstacles?

He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica (2009), where he also successfully defended his thesis on "Trade Name and Its Legal Protection." In 2011, he completed his rigorous studies at the Faculty of Law of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, defended his rigorous thesis on "Trademarks and License Agreements" and passed the rigorous examination in the field of commercial law. From September 2005 to June 2009, he completed his professional training at the District Court in Banská Bystrica. From October 2005 to June 2006, he worked as a legal assistant at the law firm of JUDr. Jozef Zlocha. From September 2009 to March 2011, he worked as a trainee lawyer at the law firm BÖHM & PARTNERS in Bratislava and from March 2011 to April 2013 as a trainee lawyer at the law firm of JUDr. Kvetoslava Kolínová in Žilina. He has been an attorney since 2013. He focuses mainly on commercial law, in particular contract law, substantive civil law, labor law, and corporate law. One of his specializations is also unfair competition law and intellectual property law. He provides legal services in Slovak and English.
