February 2019 saw the law firm actively participating in several conferences organized by the Association of Accountants of Slovakia under the patronage of Ing. Mgr. Martin Tužinský, PhD., which took place in Bratislava, Banská Bystrica, and Prešov. These were introductory conferences whose aim was not only to provide an overview of several interesting topics but also to officially present, for the first time, the work and activities of the civic association, which brings together accountants from all over Slovakia.
The conference was moderated by Ing. Mgr. Martin Tužinský, PhD., who, in addition to opening the conference, also delivered an expert presentation during the IT session on streamlining and automating the work of accountants and introduced the association’s activities. Representing the law firm HRONČEK & PARTNERS s.r.o., JUDr. Róbert Hronček and Mgr. Andrea Domény attended the conference. In their presentation, they provided participants with a detailed overview of the issue of liability for damages caused in the course of professional accounting practice and the legislative framework governing compensation, both from the perspective of external accountants operating as independent contractors and from the perspective of internal accountants—employees.
The team of speakers also included Miroslava Stareková from the Digital Marketing Club and Jakub Ptačin, M.A., from Studio Echt, s.r.o., who focused on marketing for accounting firms and brand building for companies operating in the accounting sector. Ing. Martin Marek and Dušan Straňák from Balanced HR s.r.o. presented new trends in employee compensation and motivation and ways to build mental resilience. Ing. Peter Furmaník from Libertax consulting s.r.o. gave a presentation in which he expertly analyzed and discussed accounting as a business and the pricing strategies of accounting firms. Zuzana Bednarzová from SATUM CZECH s.r.o. independently presented the options for professional liability insurance for accountants within the Slovak Republic, as well as the benefits of such insurance for accountants.
We are convinced that the 1st organized conference for accountants met the expectations of both the lecturers and the conference participants, who had the opportunity to gain new insights from the experiences of the best experts in the field.
