INOFEST 2025 will bring an innovation festival to Trnava, featuring lectures, workshops, and discussions on industry, technology, sustainability, and EU digital regulations.
At the end of September, Trnava will become a hub where industry, science, and innovation converge. On September 23–24, 2025, the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology at STU will host INOFEST 2025—a Festival of Innovation offering an inspiring program full of lectures, discussions, workshops, and presentations on modern technologies, industry, and digital transformation.
Two days full of innovation and new perspectives
The festival program is designed to provide participants not only with insights into current trends but also practical solutions and inspiration for the future. Respected experts from Slovakia and abroad will take the stage to address topics such as:
- geopolitics and economics in a time of transformation,
- artificial intelligence and humanoid robots in the workplace,
- employee competencies in the Industry 4.0 era,
- the practical use of drones,
- sustainable business and its economic benefits,
- the development of the space industry in Slovakia and the V4 region.
The festival will also feature an EXPO zone showcasing innovative companies, technology projects, and institutions. Participants will be able to engage in B2B meetings, visit the MTF STU laboratories, or take part in hands-on demonstrations of new technologies.
Workshop: How to Prepare a Manufacturing Company for New EU Regulations
Special attention should be given to the expert workshop titled “How to Prepare a Manufacturing Company for New EU Regulations,” which will take place on September 24 at 4:00 PM. It is primarily intended for managers and experts responsible for digital transformation in manufacturing companies.
The main topics will be:
- addressing GDPR in the context of a manufacturing company,
- the impacts of the NIS2 directive and its practical implementation,
- the impact of the AI Act and Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) on manufacturing and products.
Participants will receive specific tips on how to minimize risks and effectively implement the new rules in practice. A bonus for everyone will be the opportunity to undergo a free company health check—an audit of readiness for GDPR, NIS2, and new European regulations.
The workshop will be led by experts with many years of experience—Michal Karkuš (Top privacy), Peter Čičala (Hronček & Partners), and Nikoleta Ducárová (Top privacy). Their goal is to provide a practical overview and show participants how they can use regulations to their advantage, rather than viewing them merely as an obstacle.
Evening program and innovation awards
INOFEST will not be limited to expert discussions. An attractive evening program is also planned, featuring a TEDx panel on artificial intelligence, the presentation of the prestigious INOVATO AWARDS 2025, and an acoustic performance by the band Dennyiah.
A place where industry and the future converge
The festival is open to entrepreneurs, managers, academics, students, and anyone interested in innovation and the future of technology. Its goal is to connect business, science, and the public sector and provide a space for discussion, networking, and new collaborations.
Tickets and Registration
A one-day ticket costs 160 euros, a two-day ticket 190 euros. Members of the associations INOVATO, INOVIA, and IT Valley are eligible for discounted prices.
