Session 1: One Country, 27 Markets, and the Fintech Future: A Licensing Strategy for Fintech and the Tokenized Future in the EU That You Can’t Afford to Miss /English session/
Kristína Vojtylová (Associate / Financial Regulation at Hronček & Partners)
- Kristína works as an Associate at a law firm specializing in fintech regulation and financial services.
- In her session, she will provide a legal perspective on fintech entities entering the EU market and the process of obtaining licenses under real-world conditions. She will focus on the practical aspects of licensing procedures, the most common mistakes made by applicants, and recommendations on how to avoid them. The session will also include an overview of current regulatory developments, including MiCA and the DLT Pilot, and their impact on fintech entities.
- She will also discuss the specifics of the Slovak market as a gateway to the EU market, including the regulator’s approach and the conditions that influence the success of market entry.
Martina Hanusová (Chief Revenue Officer / Fintech expert at Payout)
- Martina, in her role as Chief Revenue Officer, will build on the first session with a practical perspective. As a representative of a regulated entity, she will share real-world experience with entering the EU market—from the licensing process to its impact on the company’s operations.
- In her presentation, she will highlight where theory meets reality, particularly from the perspective of the business model, internal processes, and decisions that influence the company’s growth and revenue.
- He will also discuss the practical challenges associated with market entry, including time and cost considerations, and provide recommendations that can help companies set up their processes more efficiently from the very beginning.
Daniel Harcek (Technology and Product Executive / Fintech Innovation at Inovia)
- Daniel is a technology manager with experience in transforming and scaling engineering organizations in the fields of fintech, cybersecurity, and digital media.
- In his session, he will present the fintech ecosystem in Slovakia from the perspective of the technological and infrastructural requirements for entering the EU market. He will focus on Slovakia as a gateway for fintech companies and outline the conditions the market currently offers.
- He will also highlight the role of the local ecosystem in scaling fintech solutions within the EU and how to establish the necessary technological and process infrastructure in accordance with regulations and business objectives.
Martin Hasin (Cybersecurity and IT Infrastructure Specialist at Top privacy)
- Martin is a cybersecurity and IT infrastructure specialist focused on secure solutions in regulated environments. In his practice, he helps digital companies set up systems and processes in line with growing regulatory requirements.
- In his presentation, he will focus on the DORA regulation and its impact on cybersecurity in the fintech sector. He will explain what DORA means in practice and what requirements it imposes on resilience, risk management, and IT operations.
- He will build on the previous sessions and link regulatory requirements, business impacts, and technological configurations to specific security and infrastructure requirements. At the same time, he will highlight the most common shortcomings and explain how to set up security effectively without unnecessary complications.

Session 2: Legislative Changes Altering the Rules for Fintech and E-commerce Platforms in Slovakia /Slovak session/
Barbora Vrabcová (Senior Associate / E-commerce / Fintech Legal Specialist at Hronček & Partners) & Ľubomír Višňovec (Associate at Hronček & Partners)
- Barbora works at the law firm as a Senior Associate specializing in fintech and digital regulation.
- In her session, she will provide a legal overview of legislative changes that significantly impact the operation of fintech and e-commerce platforms in Slovakia and within the EU.
- She will focus on the digitization of legal relationships in the context of the new Civil Code, including digital contracts and performance, as well as the position of consumers in the digital environment and the new obligations this imposes on platforms.
- The session will also include a look at the intersection of traditional civil law with new regulations, particularly in the area of crypto-assets (MiCA), as well as an overview of upcoming changes in payment services (PSD3) and their impact on practice.
Juraj Tobák (Certified Auditor / Partner at TPA Slovakia)
- Juraj is an experienced CFO and certified auditor specializing in digital accounting, automation, external financial management, and process optimization, primarily for e-commerce companies. He works in the fields of financial management, accounting, and auditing.
- In his presentation, he will build on the legislative framework introduced in the previous section and explain the practical implications of these changes for the operation of e-commerce platforms. He will focus on financial management, accounting considerations, and process configurations that must reflect the new regulatory requirements.
- He will highlight specific real-world scenarios that affect the cost, efficiency, and scalability of online businesses, and present recommendations on how to set up internal processes so that they are sustainable, auditable, and ready for growth.
Teodor Derzsi (CEO at GREENSTONE)
- Teodor serves as CEO of a company focused on developing digital solutions with an emphasis on the integration of technology and business. He has long been dedicated to designing products and digital services that reflect the real needs of users and the market.
- When designing solutions, he emphasizes high-quality implementation and the integration of technological development with real value for the end user, drawing on experience across multiple fields, including finance, crypto, and e-commerce.
- In his session, he will focus on modern trends in e-commerce in the context of changing requirements for the operation of online platforms. He will demonstrate how these changes influence digital product design and the customer experience, and why it is no longer sufficient today to simply implement technical solutions without understanding the business context and user behavior.
- She will also highlight the importance of product thinking, user experience, and proper process setup when creating digital solutions that make sense from both the customer’s and the business’s perspectives.
Nikoleta Ducárová (Consultant / Data Protection Officer (DPO) at Top privacy)
- Nikoleta is a specialist in personal data protection and a Data Protection Officer (DPO) with many years of experience in the comprehensive implementation of GDPR processes in the private sector. In her practice, she focuses on establishing secure processes, identifying risks, and addressing the most common mistakes companies encounter when processing personal data.
- Her focus will be on upcoming changes to the new personal data protection law and their impact on fintech and e-commerce platforms. She will explain what new obligations and risks these changes will bring and how they will affect the operations of companies.
- She will also focus on the most common mistakes in personal data processing, process setup, and handling of user data, which can lead to sanctions or reputational risks. The webinar will also include practical recommendations on how to set up personal data protection so that it is not only functional and sustainable but, above all, compliant with legislation.
